Boom Dog's Story

BDHeaderAbout002.png

Boom Dog Creations is the brainchild of Kathy Pederson, a horse girl who took one of her many hand-tooled Western belts, added some sterling silver conchos she'd collected, and crafted a collar for her dog Boomer. From her base in Park City, Utah, Kathy now scours the Southwest for leathers and baubles to upcycle into her line of collars, cuffs, bootlets and bowls.  Every Boom Dog Creation is crafted from repurposed hand-tooled Western leathers, vintage rhinestone brooches, and authentic Southwestern silver conchos. No two are exactly alike -- you are guaranteed to get a piece that's not only gorgeous but that is totally unique, just like you.

Kathy's hard work and flair for design has led her to expand her line to include Wrist Cuffs, Bootlets, Vintage Bags, Trophy Bowls, and short Dog Leads along with the original Collars. Each item is unique and made from real vintage leathers, and may include any of the many amazing antique conchas, intage brooches, stamped silver or other unique items she collects as she travels all over the west. "They like to know that everything Boom Dog Creations sells is made by me." Kathy said. "When they come to our booth they can always see me working on a new piece or have me make something custom for them on the spot".

Kathy's passion is being able to be both the artist and the maker of all that Boom Dog Creations makes and sells. It allows her to be creative and make real works of art that canines and their humans alike will enjoy. She's been building her business and expanding. She intends to be at Cowboy Christmas this December and will expand to Outdoor Markets and possibly online sales in the next six months. heck the events page for a listing of where and when to find Boom Dog Creations booth!
